Wedgwood Museum, Stoke-on-Trent

Stoke-on-Trent, england

The project comprised 22,000 sqft of museum administration areas including offices, education/seminar room, library and storage rooms for the Wedgwood collection. Storage rooms contain original manuscripts and pattern books, therefore these rooms were provided with close control air conditioning system to maintain temperature and humidity with strict tolerances to prevent degradation of the collection. Each of the storage rooms were provided with an air sampling fire detection system as well as automatic fire extinguishing system. Lighting was designed to limit exposure to ultraviolet light, again
to prevent degradation of the collection.
