BP SOLAR, Tres Cantos Manufacturing Facility, Madrid – part conversion of the existing 25,000m² AGERE, high-tech manufacturing facility to accommodate the manufacture of photovoltaic cells. The work include modifications to downgrade the existing Class 1 and Class 10,000 clean room facilities and their re-configuration to suit the new production process, which includes ultra-pure water and significant waste by-product handling. The initial production was targeted at 30MW capacity.
Exxon Mobil, Qatar Science Park – Fit out of research laboratory, offices, training and teaching facilities, and associated ancillary support spaces for Exxon Mobil Research Qatar (EMRQ), within the Qatar Science and Technology Park development. Following the long standing working relationship between Foreman Roberts and Exxon Mobil, we were appointed to carry out a local due diligence and Client representative role for this project, reporting directly to Exxon Mobil Global Real Estate in Houston, Texas.
Exxon Mobil, Al Wosail Tower, Doha, Qatar – Al Wosail Tower is a B+G+16 Storey tower located within the West Bay area in Doha, Qatar.The building is the Exxon Mobil Middle East Headquarters building and therefore includes the provision of high grade office and meeting space, along with full catering kitchen and Central Equipment Room. Foreman Roberts worked with the Client from inception to completion of this project. We assisted the Client in site selection, carried out full MEP design, provided on site supervision of the Contractor, through to commissioning and successful handover.
Qatar General Petroleum Corporation, Heliport And Fire Services, Halul Island,Qatar – an offshore project for QGP Corp located on Halul Island (the main oil storage base for offshore operations). The project consisted of a new fire training facility, contractors accommodation for 200 personnel, extension of the fire water main and a new heliport building.
Mannai Corporation, PS2/3 Offshore Oil Platforms, Qatar – Foreman Roberts were appointed to provide specialist advice and design input for the modifications to the HVAC systems for the accommodation blocks on offshore production stations PS2 and 3 located in the Maydan Mahzam and Bul Hanine oil fields. Duties included visits to the platforms for
site surveys and production of detailed designs.
Qatar Petroleum Company, Ras Laffan Port Project – Foreman Roberts was commissioned to provide a design audit of the turnkey contractors design and build proposals for all building services associated with the new deep water port facilities buildings. The port is situated in the North of Qatar and will form part of the Qatargas utilisation master plan for Qatar Petroleum
Company.
Exxon Mobil, Al Faisaliah Tower – A fast track project, comprising the fit-out of 80,000sq.ft, high quality office space in the heart of Riyadh. Focused design ideas and solutions were, detailed and effective with early procurement of labour & materials ensuring the duration of the project, from concept to completion, was only 30 weeks. Despite challenging conditions the team developed a truly inspiring and rewarding workspace both on time and on budget for the client.
Exxon Mobil, Sakhalin Island, Russia – The construction of a regional head office complex as part of a major development for this international oil company. With extreme winter weather, even for Russia, the design of the services had to withstand-42°C, and considerable snowfall, plus seismic events. Although connected to the city wide district heating scheme the office building and its services were designed with energy efficiency a key consideration in accordance with the clients corporate policy. The services design provided a very high level of resilience.
Exxon Mobil, Leatherhead – the refurbishment and modernisation of a 45,000m2 UK Headquarters Building in Leatherhead. The main challenge was to ensure the offices remained operational for the complete duration of the construction period. The approach undertaken by the design team and contractor was to split the works into 5 complex phases over 14 months, allowing mission critical areas of the building to be maintained at all times. The project included dealer and trader floors, redesign and development of ExxonMobil’s head communications and ICT suites for Europe, and new UPS and generator infrastructures. New catering facilities were provided with kitchens, servery and atrium seating areas.
