A new Colocation Data Centre located in West London for a leading data centre owner/operator.
Foreman Roberts undertook a detailed review and technical analysis of the proposed MEP design for this new data centre. The data centre is to be created from a newly constructed, ‘repurposed’ distribution warehouse near London’s Heathrow airport.
The ultimate data centre design comprises circa 13,000m² of net technical space located across 2 floor levels and 10 Data Halls. In addition to this, there are associated internal and external plant rooms together with associated office / administration spaces.
The data centre is designed to provide 28MW of installed IT power via a concurrently maintainable power and cooling infrastructure in line with uptime Tier III requirements.

The electrical infrastructure uses a distributed redundant (DR) topology, comprising of 3No. systems, each with 7 active power streams and a swing power system.
