New Build Data Centre (Confidential Client)
This Data Centre will comprise of a double storey structure incorporating two Technical Halls (TH) on the first floor separated by a common corridor. The building shall also include mechanical and electrical plant and ancillary spaces, circulation areas, staging room, loading bay, offices & welfare areas. Each TH white space net area will be approximately 1,500m² which shall cater for 3MW of critical IT power load at Days 2 and Ultimate. Each TH will have the flexibility to achieve 1.5MW at day two over 2/3rds of the Hall.
Externally, the site shall comprise of a security gatehouse, substation, parking with associated electrical car charging points, roadways, service areas, dedicated equipment yards accommodating generators and fuel tanks, loadbank, cooling chillers, externally located transformers, sprinkler tank and a fire suppression pump room. A steel gantry will perimeter the TH and support the IEC units that will feed directly into the TH and serve a Hot Aisle Containment (HAC) conditioning array.
Foreman Roberts have been appointed by the MEP design contractor to undertake a review of the electrical infrastructure Stage 4 design, and to identify any risks and opportunities.
