fulham broadway
A 36,000m²mixed use development including retail, health club & cinema constructed over Fulham Broadway Station. The station is classified as underground and therefore required compliance with London Underground Ltd standards.
The project comprises a retail mall, 5 large restaurants, a 12 screen cinema and extensive health club (all grouped around a four-storey atrium). Additional facilities include underground car parking and a new London Underground station developed on a newly constructed slab over the fully operational rail environment.
The works comprise a new station entrance leading from the mall and refurbishment of the existing station below the new structure. Foreman Roberts undertook the design of MEP services within the station and overall mixed-use development. To facilitate the installation of the new station, it was necessary to divert existing HV/LV power, signalling cables and communications supplies. Part of the enabling works was also to relocate the station officer’s accommodation to enable the facility to maintain operations throughout the demolition and construction phases of the project. A new control room, police facilities and ancillary accommodate were also provided to manage crowds from the local Chelsea Football Club ground. Client: Pillar Property Investments.
