The faculty building delivers world class conference and teaching facilities. The building occupies a prominent position on the University’s Frederick Road Campus and houses; Schools of Nursing, Healthcare Professionals and Community Health Sciences and Social Care. The building hosts a diverse range of activities and in addition to a 300 seat lecture theatre it provides accommodation for Podiatry clinic, Human performance laboratory, Sports injury clinic, Rehabilitation flat, Clinic practice wards, Skills room, Prosthetics and orthotics laboratories and works shops, Learning suite and Psychology laboratories
The Client brief required fully adaptable teaching accommodation that would cope with changing learning methods and technology. Foreman Roberts responded to the challenge by designing flexible energy efficient MEP solutions that would satisfy the diverse range of building uses and could be adapted to the progressive dynamic use over time with minimal capital expenditure. Foreman Roberts undertook the MEP design and supervision duties for this prestigious project.
