Exxon Mobil, Leatherhead

The refurbishment and modernisation of a 45,000m2 UK Headquarters Building in Leatherhead. The main challenge was to ensure the offices remained operational for the complete duration of the construction period. The approach undertaken by the design team and contractor was to split the works into 5 complex phases over 14 months, allowing mission critical areas of the building to be maintained at all times. The project included dealer and trader floors, redesign and development of ExxonMobil’s head communications and ICT suites for Europe, and new UPS and generator infrastructures. New catering facilities were provided with kitchens, servery and atrium seating areas.
