Some great photos of the recently completed Sporting Centre for Kingham Hill School. The building was finished a few weeks ago and is already becoming a strong focal point within school life and activity.
The building was opened by school alumni, Professor Peter Sonksen a specialist in endocrinology, which culminated in him developing drugs tests for the Olympics and being awarded an OBE in recognition.
The building is connected to the schools biomass district heating plant and includes natural ventilation of many spaces, providing an environment in which the pupils can learn and participate in comfort.
Unusually the main sports hall includes a climbing wall in addition to myriad of sports played at the school.
Foreman Roberts were involved from the early stages of the project, through to completion and worked alongside key team members, Synergy PM / QS, Thinking Buildings Architects and Beard.
We are now involved in further works on the school campus and look forward to continuing our relationship with Kingham Hill School.
